In partnership with Sneinton Community Traders Ltd and City Arts, the next Nottingham Creative Fringe will be held on the weekend of the 27th– 29th March 2015. This will be a multi-venue arts festival based on the edge of the city centre where Sneinton and Hockley meet. More details on the festival here.
As part of this we will be running an arts fair on Sneinton Marketplace on Saturday 28th (1.30pm-6pm after the veg market) and Sunday 29th (12noon-5pm).
This is catered to new businesses and emerging artists in particular. Applicants for creative stalls must have been trading or exhibiting for under 5 years, but there is no age limit as we support those looking for a career change later in life.
Full stalls or half stalls will be available either for one or both days. The stalls are sizable – 10ft x 4 ft with a table and weatherproof cover. You will need to provide table covering and are encouraged to decorate your stalls. If you would like to also have a clothing rail, please let us know and we can try to allocate you an appropriate stall, but the stalls have bits of rail in built (see pic below). Please check weather forecasts and prepare accordingly, especially if it’s windy!
If you don’t have your own Public Liability Insurance (P.L.I.), this will be an additional £2 through Sneinton Community Traders Ltd.
Creative stalls – While there will be a traditional ‘craft fair’ element to the event, we are also keen for a broader spectrum of creative stalls/exhibits – e.g. fine art, fashion & textile design, performance, records &CDs, books & publications. We are not looking for businesses selling vintage/2nd hand goods unless this has another element (e.g. upcyled, or a mixture of old and new things).
Full Stall both days – £55
Half Stall both days – £30
Full Stall Saturday only – £35
Half Stall Saturday only – £20
Full Stall Sunday only – £25
Half Stall Sunday only – £15
Food stalls – Food stalls do not have to be new businesses, but we will favour those that are. If you wish to apply for a food-based stall we will need to see appropriate paperwork (hygiene certificates) and any electrical items must be pat tested. If you wish to run a food stall the cost is £65 for the weekend if this includes electric hook-up (or £55 for cold food), food vans are permitted if they have adequate drip trays.
Please note due to licensing restrictions on Sneinton Market, alcohol cannot be sold unless we meet various criteria.
If you wish to apply for a spot at Nottingham Creative Fringe please email us for an application form – firstname.lastname@example.org
Successful applicants will be sent details for bank transfers, please note your place will not be secure until you have paid the fee.
Deadline for applications is Sunday 1st March 2015.
